Join the Staff of SacAnime!
New staff start off as compensated interns to give them a chance to try out different departments and find the best match. Interns are compensated $100 per day, and are only required to work one day minimum per department they choose. The length of the work day varies per department, but will be between four to six hours total, and breaks will be provided.
No previous event planning or staffing experience is required.
Interns will work directly with department heads and receive training before the show based on the method best suited to the department. Depending on the departments chosen, interns may be required to attend one remote or in-person meeting before the show. (Most meetings happen via Discord or Zoom.) Not all departments have pre-show meetings with interns.
Interns receive a special INTERN weekend badge, and do not need to purchase a badge separately. If you have already purchased a badge for the next SacAnime through the Early Bird program, just let your department head know, and a refund will be arranged. SacAnime does not cover travel, food, or lodging expenses for interns.
A Director will contact applicants who are chosen.
Internship Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the beginning of the next show.
- Must have valid, government issued, picture ID.
- Must be allowed to work in the State of California and in the proximity of minors.
